RESPITE!

I've been promising to post this for a while now... A special edition of the Late Night Series. This cinematic soundscape is an atmospheric journey through 40 years and 39 tracks of cinema's greats. It's absolutely perfect for dimming the lights and sliding down the sofa, especially if you've been pushing yourself too hard recently. Warning: DO NOT LISTEN TO WHILST IN THE SHOWER!

Es Ess Esss ESSENTIAL!

While I'm on the MAW tip here is the essential mix from five years ago. In keeping with Radio One's quality control of top notch DJ's guesting on the 'One's and Two's' in the early hours of the morning, this mix exemplifies the MAW style. Incidently, around the time that this essential mix was undertaken for Pete Tong's show, Kenny Dope did a guest interview on Tim Westwood's Radio One Hip Hop show. The one half of MAW, paid considerable homage to the early hip-hop scene, not surprising really seen as though a lot of early Kenny Dope productions were in a hip hop style. One such release was donated to me by a certain Damien Ball nearly 20 years ago! I'll try and post Kenny Dope presents 'Supacat - the mad racket'. The tune itself features on Leeds' Nightmares on Wax, DJ Ease's 'DJ Kicks' mixtape. Quality never goes out of style!

NU Y0RICA!

These next 2 posts (this and the MAW post) are dedicated to Mark and his woman who've just sidled accross the pond to find the core of 'the big apple'. For some reason, for me, these two albums sum up 'New York attitude' whatever dat iz? Hey! douchebag! I'M WALKIN' HERE!
Well, most of the above is not strictly correct, as my love affair with Hip Hop wont let me pick favourites. I'll be posting some definitive 'East Coast Classics' over the next few weeks but for now... Dig it. Hey Mark? Good looking out kid!

The Cinemat1c 0rchestra

Well, here's my inaugural post, kicking things off as we mean to continue... That is if I don't loose interest... I've got an issue with my attention span............Where was I? Anyway, Enough 'blurb'. Hosted on media fire (Credit to the original poster), from the simply supurb "Late Night Tales" series - Look out for future posts from the series, The Cinematic Orchestra exude their ambience appropriately for the later part of 2010.

This post is dedicated to 'Party Puz' as a belated gift for lifting that recent title belt. Enjoy!
